Ronald R. Tiller is a Director, Executive Vice President, and principal of CMG. He is also President and principal of CMG Energy LLC and is responsible for field operations for all CMG Energy programs. He has over 30 years experience in business management. He began his business career in 1971, first as Traffic Manager and then as Director of Marketing for the Mason & Dixon Company, the largest privately held common carrier in the United States. |

In 1977, Mr. Tiller joined AFG Industries, which was at that time the smallest glass manufacturer in the United States. He began his service with AFG as Marketing Manager, but over time, held positions of increasing responsibility, to include: Director of Marketing, Director of Corporate Planning, and Plant Manager of two different facilities with over 2000 employees. Under his leadership, AFG Industries, with locations in Tennessee, California, and Texas became a leading flat glass manufacturer in the United States with sales of more than $250 million. His accomplishments resulted in his promotion to President of the Glass Fabrication Group, with operations in four countries and sales in excess of $150 million directly attributable to his division.
In 1993, Mr. Tiller pursued his entrepreneurial interests and structured a leveraged buyout, resulting in the purchase of O’Dell Industries, a small aquarium manufacturing company. After two-years under his direction, the company sold for more than $1 million (based on an initial investment of $5,500).
In 1996, Mr. Tiller established Premier Development, Inc., an umbrella organization which identifies fledgling companies with potential, then guides and directs them through their initial “start-up” phase to stability. As an outgrowth of this endeavor, he currently oversees the activities of several diverse entities to include: developing commercial real estate; an assisted living facility; energy development; and several manufacturing initiatives. In one venture alone, an investment of $4.4 million devoted to construction of an 80 mile pipeline resulted in profits of more than $7 million to the company.
Mr. Tiller is currently an owner in Sovereign-American Securities, Inc., the Managing Broker-Dealer for CMG, through which he holds Series 22 and 63 licenses. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration (with major in transportation and marketing) from the University of Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Army as a Platoon Leader in Vietnam.
